There are an awful lot of things going against this, and I am having trouble getting motivated to even begin trying to unlock the second half of the level, let alone actually play through it. I read on the wiki that it has 9 sub-chapters, and that I can only access the second half if I get 15 Crystal hearts (excuse me but you want me to beat MORE B sides?) so I have a question: Should I bother? Will someone who struggled through the B sides with that much difficulty try to get all the B side hearts required and then go through the entirety of farewell? Is this something that is going to be worth playing through for the accomplishment of having done it? Are there strawberries that will haunt me forever if I do not gather them on my first run through of Farewell? Apparently you need to wave dash and some other tech that I don’t even know the name of just to beat it, and I don’t even know where to begin (How does one do a spike jump? Don’t spikes kill you?) I’ve heard from many people that Farewell is the most difficult thing in this game, and I have no reason not to believe them. Then I realized that I unlocked Farewell. Somewhat challenging, but just barely 100 deaths on my first try and I was feeling pretty good. At that point, I realized I should probably figure out what the heck this “Core” chapter was, and I checked it out.
I was struggling so much, that I decided to just try what Chapter 7 B side was and well, it was so much easier. My first (and only) run through of chapter 3 B side has a whopping 357 deaths, and my only run of Chapter 4 B side has exactly 100 more deaths on it. I have completed chapters 1-7, started to play through B sides, and struggled.
